Does anyone sell a cutoff timer?
I want to add turn signals and brake lights. The light fixtures themselves are installed, plumbed and tested. I want to order a turn signal switch for the column and a N/O switch for the brake lights. Once installed, is there a timer that will cut the brake lights off after say, 60 seconds of continuous use? I don't want the lights to be draining the battery if I park the cart and walk away for a couple of hours. I suppose I could just use a rocker switch if worse came to worst, or build a timer based from a Bosch relay, but it would be nice if something already existed to fit the bill.

Re: Does anyone sell a cutoff timer?
I think brake light equipped CC Precedents have a timer of some sort for this very same reason. Might want to post in that section.
Do a search for "precedent brake lights stay on" Several posts on the subject. |

Re: Does anyone sell a cutoff timer?
My Ezgo cart has a momentary push button on the foot peddle that accuates the brake lights. I only use it when someone is behind me. Mind you I am in a private road gated community.

I considered doing that. I think I'd just use a rocker on the dash instead, though. I did find a larger version of the microswitch for the FNR at the HAMvention this weekend. It should work slick for a brake light actuator! Thanks for the replies and suggestions! |
