Won't keep running
1993 club car, runs for an hour, then just stops. In about a 20 to 30 minutes it starts again. I changed the plug and cleaned the carb. Didn't help. I have had this situation happen several times

It doesnt smell hot, but it seems to be heat related. After it runs awhile, it stops. Then given 20 to 30 minutes, always restarts.

Changed oil and filter at the beginning of season, so the oil is pretty fresh. Any other idea's?

it sounds like an overheating problem. does it have a crank case sensor? for when it overheats it will shut down

Check your ignition next time it shuts down and see if it is producing spark. Could be a coil getting hot and quitting, then once it cools it fires properly again. Coil, ignitor, rev limiter would be good electrical sources to check for operability next time it shuts down on you.
