Default DPI Charger - Unplug everytime?

From reading the manual on this 48v DPI charger, it looks like you have to unplug it from the wall before you disconnect it from the cart. Can you just leave it plugged in while not using it, or will it remain in detection mode the whole time? I used to leave the powerwise one plugged in the wall all the time, and never had a problem. How are y'all using yours?

Mine stays connected to AC power 24x7 but I have no issues. The power on and detection error light are on when not connected the cart, but again no issues.

I've got the 36V version, but it stays plugged into AC power 24X7 and plugged into cart when I'm not driving it.

Only light that stays on is the bottom one (Power) and it only goes into detection mode when it is first plugged into cart.
