That sounds right but, the power cuts off to the controller on the rxv carts after a few minutes without use and that makes me think that the reducer will loose power as well. So, if you want to run the radio while the cart is at rest, you will need a constant power supply. I think I am going to get a 30 amp 12 volt switch for the remote wire on mine and call it a day. Mine is the forepar 30a reducer

Loco, you could also get the 48 volt relay from a CC charger and use that to switch it on and off..

Thanks for the heads up but, if I am thinking correctly;the remote wire should only be for switching the reducer on and will never have a heavy(more than 3 amp) load. This makes me think I will have no issues with the 12 volt 30 amp switch. I will report back my findings.

Right thats what i was talking about earlier witht the relay but he is saying if the cart rests for a period of time it shuts off which in turn would shut down the relay.

Does the remote wire get 48v or 12v to activate it?

Oh my bad. Your going to use 48 volts through the 12 volt switch, duh, I get it.. You'll be fine. I think if you look on the switch itself it says 250 volts...

And Pats, like the wheels and glad it worked out.. I was going to comment but you already had the wheels on I am running the 21" VX tires from EZ-Go that are 21 X 10.5 X 12 on a Locker rim that is 12 X 8. Not sure of the offset but I had to remove some of the rear bumper plastic so it would not rub.

Thanks, Chevy Synergy Green and the pic doesn't do it justice. When it is clean and in the sun it sparkles almost a yellow/silver tint. That is actually the cart I use to go to and sometimes play at the course.. Hence the standard golf bag holder and the sand bottle/urinal but does have the freedom II code so with those tires cruises at about 22mph
