Default my 99 Ezgo is going crazy

I have a 99 model Ezgo and every time I charge it , it takes about 30 minute before it will move out of it's tracks.
I have new battery on it. So I would think the battery are not the problem. I have replaced the Forward & Reverse Switch, new battery cables .

With that said what will cause this problem

Thanks

The pack voltage may be over the set drive voltage limit. Some controllers are user adjustable, but all good controls have operational safety limits.
The charger will bring the pack up to 44v in a 36v system, the pack will then settle to what it can hold.

Your operation sounds normal.

Is there a way to get around this ? I use this cart at the lake and we like to ride around the lake and this is a big aggravation.

So basically the charger is over charging the system? When the charge comes back down to 36v, the system runs regular?

no
The charger brings the pack up beyond normal operating voltage but that is not 'over charging' it is normal. Same as the charging system in your cart brings your 12v battery up to 15v at times.

Ok would this happen let's say If I did a 30min charge ?
I was at the Lake last weekend and I did not let the battery get a full charge.
We where there cleaning and I charge it for 30 to 40 min and I had the same thing ( no go ).

Thanks Guys for the Help.

Do you have a digital voltmeter, whereby you can check the pack voltage after you unplug the charger? Is there any chance you have any 8 volt batterys in there? (as opposed to 6 ea. of 6 volt batterys?)
