There is no float adjustment and the float isn't sitting right.. on either carb. I heated and bend the valve tab on the old float to see if that works better.. see what happens.

if you turn carb upside down float should be level/flat

Yes. and the float was angled down on my old and new carb. I heated and bend the tab on the old plastic float to adjust it.

With no adjustment on the plastic float, what are you supposed to do?

I'm not sure but you might be able to bend metal tang that rests on needle valve?

Some had completely plastic float (white plastic, zero metal), none were really intended to be adjusted, but, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

I ran it for the day. I can't tell if the oil smells yet. (was sniffing fumes all day yesterday). Now I'm on a power shortage on both low and high end.

I went through a ditch pretty fast and it seems like I lost fuel for a bit and it stalled out and wouldn't run for 5 min. Think that has to do withmy float adjustment? I should have taken photos.

I never had luck messing with the floats I always mess up those tiny parts I never herd of adjusting the float? do you want it to stop the gas sooner so the bowl isn't as full
