Stock PDS solenoid was junk for stock controller levels, get rid of it for sure. Site sponsors can set you up with the solenoid, plus diode and resistor you will need with an alltrax controller.

A stock PDS controller is fed RPM data from a sensor attached to the motor and it limits the motor's RPM to about 4,400RPM in the Freedom mode (less in other modes), which is about 18MPH on stock height (about 18") tires. Aftermarket controllers, such as the DCX family, don't sense motor RPM, so motor's max RPM is determined by battery pack voltage and the mechanical drag of the cart.

Of course, you have to have a good 36V battery pack to start with and properly sized cables and solenoid to deliver the electrical energy from the batteries to the motor.

Also, if you decide to install taller tires, be careful about what type you get. Some have generate a lot of drag and can take quite a bit off the top speed as well as making cart slow more on hills. Avoid the low pressure types, unless you plane to drive through swamps.

Just finished reading the thread on field map. Here comes the dumb question. What is a field map? I know I need one, but I don't know what it is.
That being said, Can I get someone to send me the #3 field map. That's what JohnnieB said I needed.

Thanks all.
