Re: questions
No Camp, just the intank filter is all!
Yamaha, in these years, (in my opinion) were trying to build to perfection! Don't know about today, CG or Block probably could tell ya. I just got that feeling when I first started working on my car in 09!! Seeing how it was designed and built just impressed me. Seeing what it can do, driving it, really impresses me!! Its a GOLF CART! Dang-it!! Look at Jimmy, going 55 MPH!!! Wow!! |

Re: questions
I'm always alone and quite a few miles from home, so a lot of things cross my mind when out there. So I figured it was a weak spot, and could fail at anytime, so I got the kit and just did it.
Same reason I don't use elect. relays. I use 14 gauge wire and 110 volt 20 amp toggle switches with the lights on Spot. No their not sexy nor do they illuminate, But the lights always come on!! |

Re: questions
Think that line is 5/16". I didn't change the check valve part. I did cut the part that goes on the valve cover back, where the spring clamp was kinda cutting through tho.
I used fuel injection line for all of it. The hose I bought had a blue liner inside, I bought 3 feet of 1/4" and 3 feet of 5/16". That was enough to do the whole car. Oil lines going up the back of the motor to the valve cover fit tight enough that I did't need clamps. Sure you know this but, anywhere there is pressure or movement in lines, they need to be clamped, especially fuel lines!! |

Re: questions
Mac I replaced all lines except motor to tee,tee to valve cover. used blue see thru hose. I noticed condensation in the one that connects to air box opened it and there was h2o in the bottom of the airbox I think someone was talking about using a fuel filter? I think for a check vavle for one of these hoses? do you think I should do this for the condensation? any help or opinions greatly appreciated

Re: questions
Man Camp, that's out of my jurisdiction!! H2o rarely hangs around here, even in a glass!!
Maybe Block or Ess will chime in on this one!! Sprid, is a good one on the fuel filter/breather idea!! |

Re: questions
UPDATE Found out today that my cart has been running super PFATT All I can say right now is THANK YOU DON @ PLOWMANS! I have been taught that anything will run on 1 1/2 turns out on the air screw. until this cart that has always worked for anything that runs on fossil fuels for ME. Start there and fine tune till it pulls like a demon! well that's where it was when I started this project so I left it there... after replacing needed parts and some mods from Don I went for a ride this morning and it was pulling great so I pulled it back in the shop to change the oil and then went for a ride and it was pulling great then fell on its face! wtf I just changed the oil! so I called Don Again... gave him symtoms he thought I was hitting internal rev limiter! He then sat with me over the phone and taught me how to adjust the carburetor over the phone! that guy is awesome! I don't usually do reviews or comments but these people need recognition! Diane usually answers the phone and knows a lot about carts if she is unsure she will get someone to help. Doug has helped me a few times and is also great. Don is a VERY busy guy but ALWAYS calls back! They are ALL very helpful! Just wanted to put this out there I'm sure a lot of you already know this but I just want to let all the newbies like myself know about them and there AWESOME SERVICE!!! Thank you Diane Doug and Don from a VERY satisfied Yamaha G9 Rider
