Cart won't shut off
2005 western 42v will not shut off. When I turn off the ignition key nothing happens. When I plug in my charger (Delta IQ) the cart stays on, instead of shutting down as it normally does. Does it sound like a bad ignition switch or maybe something else.Any help where to start.

Re: Cart won't shut off
I suspect the solenoid is welded shut. There are two large terminals and two small terminals on the solenoid. Remove the wire(s) from one of the small terminals so it is bear. If the carts still runs the solenoid must be replaced. If the car does not run the problem lies in the solenoid activations circuit which has a number of switches in it. You will need to find a diagram and do some further testing.

Re: Cart won't shut off
thanks, scotty b, it was a wire shorted out at the solenoid that was easy to find since you led me in the right direction. I ordered a new pds harness because it was fried.
Thanks again |
