EZGO Gaser Question
When EZ-Go stop using the Robins engine in their carts? Looking into making a purchase and the seller is unsure of the year model but it has a Robins gas engine in it. Thanks

Re: EZGO Gaser Question
the 2007/2008 year was the changeover to Kawasaki drivetrains *shudder*, the cart in that ad could be anywhere from 1995 to 2006 but based on the canopy uprights I'm going to guess late 90's to very early 2000 ... A couple of ways to find out would be A) get the serial number and run it on the EZGO website (or post it here and we'll help You out) OR to be a little less specific, ask if the steering box is located under the floorboards or on the axle itself, if it's on the axle it's 2001.5 or up, under the floorboards is 2001 and down. The pics aren't quite detailed enough to be *sure* but from the looks of the front spring mounting tabs it's likely a pre-2001 (again though, better pics, serial number, or location of steering box would help nail it for sure)

Re: EZGO Gaser Question
Yeah, at $1500 it would be a fair deal regardless as long as it runs out OK ... That $1200-1500 price point seems to be the norm around here for a running, decent TXT - if You like the canopy, shield, etc then that's just a bonus - make sure they didn't drill or hack things up too bad fitting that bed and rear lights on it though.

Re: EZGO Gaser Question
Also if the serial is not in the right glove box have him lift the seat and in the back where the seat sits in there is a flap, lift it and there should be a tag on the cross frame with a bar code and date. I'm also guessing 2000 or earlier with the white top, but then that could have been added.

Re: EZGO Gaser Question
Hard to see in the pic,but if I remember correctly, in 2001.5,they switched the steering to axle-mounted rack, from the traditional drag-link steering.Thats an easy tell-tale without looking at numbers.
