I also have a place local that sells lots of other metals for other projects. They also sell a lot of different plastics as well as plexi, Lexan and other Polycarb. They sell mostly online and deal in Stainless, Aluminum, brass, copper bronze and some more exotic steel. I just go in and see what they have and make my purchase. They also have scrap bins of these materials in shorter lengths and can get an even better deal on those.

I just found out that they also pick up some regular steel when they buy the other metals and just scrap it, so I may be looking at another outlet for extra build materials.
