Default 1988 Marathon Mud flaps

Hi guys,

I'm currently working on rebuilding my 88 marathon. I have a rear seat and due tour the rear fenders on the marsthon the rear seat and foot platform constantly get filled with dust and mud. I have been looking for some sort of mud flap or wheel well extension to prevent this. Have ant of you found a product to but to address this or have any of you made anything on your marathon to prevent this ?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, me three! I had thought of trying a rubber door mat and just cutting to fit but have not got around to it.

I was thinking of buying a set of rubber mud flaps and screwing them on with "L" bracets along the inside curved frame rail.

Or I was going to trace the shape of the curved frame rail and have a local sheat metal shop form me a piece of diamond plate to install.

I thought for sure someone would have a picture of what they did to resolve this as every marathon i see with a back seat has this issue.

I made mine out of tread plate. Check out my thread on here: Flip My 1988 Marathon. I have pics on there.

Got mudflaps made from a sheet metal guy that made my rockers and shock plates.

I think they look good and will function well.

If interested, send me a PM and I can get you his contact information.
