If it's only got 65 hours on it I'd never bother, as long as you've been running the correct 128:1 mix.

I run mine on 100:1.No smoke and all looks good in the combustion chamber. Thanks for the response.

I'd say you'll still be good then. When I get my 2pg together I plan to run 85:1 (1.5 oz. per gallon). Of course, I plan to turn mine a few more RPMs than normal.

What all did you do to it? I've thought about a few go faster tricks, but kinda want to keep it reliable.I live in the Hill Country in Texas and it has proven more than capable of hauling us up the hills. Then my mind will wander..... and I do have the motor pulled and on the bench........

Haven't done much yet, but have some big plans. The link to my thread is the "One Piece at a Time" build in my signature, the specs are in there.

In short: BV24 carb, 88 exhaust, milled polished head, custom reeds, and some jug work with porting and such, maybe a trick piston.

The BV24 and the 88 exhaust are the basics for 2pg performance. They add 2 hp together and make a noticeable difference. The carb and the muffler itself are readily and not terribly expensively available new. The head pipe that goes to the muffler is what you CANNOT find. It is worth it to fab one if you have the abilities though.

The Peanut Gallery is awaiting a side-by-side comparison of those headpipes.
Semi-patiently

I'll get there, I'm just not known for being too fast doing it.

In all seriousness, I want to get the project rolling again I just can't do it yet. Soon...
