Default 84 EZGO name this part/purpose

Probably showing my newbie ignorance here, but can someone tell me what this part is/does?

I just bought a 2nd 84 EZGO and my first one does not have this part.

It has two electric wires and what seems to be a SINGLE fuel line attached. It is connected to a green button on the dash and when you hold the button down, the device runs, when you release it, it stops.

It has a traditional fuel pump and the gas line attached to this device goes into the frame.

At first I thought it was a horn, but a horn would not have a fuel line. Second thought was a fuel pump. But it only has one line and only runs when you press button.

PIC are attached

This is the best answer I have heard.

The hoses go into a hole in the side of the frame. You can see it in one of the pics. I am not sure where it comes out. Also, in my second post there is a pic of the back of the unit, but I can't read the writing on it.

There is no air horn on the cart, but it could have been removed.

I can tell you I have the same cart and it's definitely not oem....the 2 stroker engines don't have any external vacuum pumps that I've come across and the strategically placed switch tells me "aftermath of abandoned accessories....

By the direction of the hose when it goes into the frame, I would look in around the front left wheel well for the other end of the hose. Also if you can, have someone push the button and see if you can hear air hissing. This may not work well if the compressor is loud though.

I would say, yes it is.

It's difficult to read the end cover in the picture, but from what I can see, it looks like one I had years ago. It came with two small plastic trumpets.
