Re: Pyle Marine Grade Radios
Mike, you may want to check out rock the boat audio. Good website with lots of info and they're very responsive to emailed questions. I haven't ordered anything yet but have had a lot of questions and they've been very willing to help. I did notice the Pyle brand on their site as well. They seem to have everything from budget stuff to upper end equipment. I did compare a couple of things with Amazon and prices were similar. I'm always down to save a buck but if it's same, same, or close enough, I'm going with someone that can offer advice or help.
Good luck. |

Re: Pyle Marine Grade Radios
These are the two I'm looking at. One has a mounting tray that I like and the other is a complete package with an amplifier.

Re: Pyle Marine Grade Radios
Take a look a Kickers products. Good quality. I have used them for a couple of years now.
Their amplified Bluetooth controls are really neat and install very easy. These two have good sound and would probably work well for you: http://www.kicker.com/kmc2 This you can mount anywhere: http://www.kicker.com/40PXIBT502 |

Re: Pyle Marine Grade Radios
If I was doing a dash change out, I would really consider the round radios, but at this time, I am looking at keeping the original dash so I think something mounted in the ball holder that fills this spot, would make the dash look better.

Re: Pyle Marine Grade Radios
Did you look at the second link I posted? That type you can mount under the seat or under the dash and use your phone to control everything:

Re: Pyle Marine Grade Radios
I've had 2 stereos in the cart over about 5 years. The first one was a marine grade single DIN in the dash. It got a little wet the first year & stopped working. The second head unit is a $100 Kenwood with a wired AUX input on the front & works fine. Now days I plug a BT adapter into it & it plays music from my phone.
Then last year I picked up a Pyle bluetooth marine speaker that I've been using on the paddleboard. Works great. And since then I have not been using the cart stereo much at all. I think if I were building a cart now, I wouldn't bother with the stereo & get one of those BT speakers. |
