Good points. The people I bought from said it has made the loud noise since they had it (6 years). Said the cart shop they took it to told them " some are just louder than others". I'm not buying that.

Update. Pulled the motor and twisted motor by hand and it growled. Put another motor in and did low voltage test and quiet. Put original motor back and used low voltage, growl. Is there something I can replace in that motor to quiet it or am I in the market for a PDS motor?

You can replace the bearing in the motor. Pull it apart and the bearing is probably bad
