Ezgo won't do anything after replacing batteries
Replaced batteries on my ezgo cart. I think it is an 06'. Small arc when putting my negative wire from control to batteries. Finished installing everything and I get nothing. Solenoid doesn't even click. Does anyone have any idea where I need to start troubleshooting what might have happened?

Is the car a PDS cart, in other words does it have a tow/run switch on the controller cover? lets start there

Re: Ezgo won't do anything after replacing batteries
I often get a small arc when I hook up that last cable. It was posted on this board, by knowledgeable guys, that it wasn't a big deal as long as it was small. Sergio posted a way to avoid it: put a light bulb on the post, then touch the cable to the side of the threaded part of the bulb.
Sorry, but I'm not the guy to help you with whatever is wrong with it now. I have a feeling, however, that you're going to be asked to confirm that the cart was in tow when you were changing the batteries. Good luck. |

Does the cart have a energy meter, and if so is it working?

Re: Ezgo won't do anything after replacing batteries
If the instructions are still on the cover, do the self diagnostic test to see where you stand. I'm assuming since you said it was a little arc you didn't destroy the controller or anything. after you do the test look over all your wiring again. since this issue came up after you changed the batteries it must be something simple I'm guessing.

Re: Ezgo won't do anything after replacing batteries
Double check the polarity of all your batteries/cable connections. Some times the gremlins like to put one in backwards...

Re: Ezgo won't do anything after replacing batteries
I went back and checked all my connections and plugs nothing looked burnt. Tightened everything back down and now it works with no problems. Thanks for all the help. I think I had to walk away for a while then go back and start from square one and double check everything. Happens sometimes.

yeah, all it takes sometimes is a single terminal being slightly loose and it stops the whole operation
