New 36v alltrax SR controller problem
Last week I was hurriedly installed new batteries in my 1995 ezgo txt 36v series cart and hooked them up reverse polarity. OOPS! it would not do a thing after that. No big deal as I was going to upgrade since my son uses it to launch his small boat so I needed something stronger. Finished installing a alltrax SR 48500, new Solenoid, cables, and HD switch today. Went on the laptop and made sure the throttle was set for ITS. I am still getting and error message as soon as step on the throttle. Funny thing is when the cart is just sitting with key on and no throttle input the alltrax software is showing the voltage at 44.4 volts(see first pic). Not sure how that is possible when the pack voltage is 37.3. As soon as you step on the throttle is throws these two codes but the voltage drops to an accurate number(see second pic). I'm Not sure how to fix or what to try next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: New 36v alltrax SR controller problem
Just a possibility, but I spent several days pulling my hair out and troubleshooting my SR48500 Alltrax controller when I first installed it only to find out it was bad from Alltrax. Call them first thing monday to rule it out.
Then they wanted me to return it before they would ship another. I had to purchase a second one then return the other for a credit. I wasn't particularly impressed with my experience but the working controller is a big improvement from the stick 36v. Sent from my SM-G935U using Tapatalk |

Re: New 36v alltrax SR controller problem
If the solenoid is not clicking you may have a bad pedal micro switch.
Looks like the controller is okay - they have reverse polarity protection |

Re: New 36v alltrax SR controller problem
The reverse polarity incident killed the stock controller and the micro switch in the pedal. I have installed a new micro switch since then.

Re: New 36v alltrax SR controller problem
I saw a "impossible voltage" problem once on a SPM (and "overvoltage" codes). The motor armature cable that is shared on the B+ terminal had to be shared at the controller, not the solenoid or any where else.

Re: New 36v alltrax SR controller problem
Attached is the solenoid activation circuit for the SR controller in an Ezgo TXT.
When you press the go pedal every red line should have 36v+. Blue is -. |
