Default Kill switch

I want to put a hidden kill switch on my ezgo electric cart and was thinking of tying it inline with one of the 2 wires on the ignition switch...would this work well?does it matter on which wire i tie into? And would any type of simple toggle switch be sufficient for this?Thank you

Use a 20a automotive toggle switch in any number of locations. What cart and drive system are you asking about? It may be easier to access wiring under the seat.

An interruption (switch) of any of the red lines shown in this diagram will disable the cart.

The best place might be to switch the red/wht wire from the charge receptacle.

I used a magnetic window/door contact left over from my home alarm system inline on the red/white wire that runs to the reed switch which ScottyB mentioned. Secured the wired piece under a body panel and the other half outside the panel with a piece of velcro.

I just installed a battery disconnect switch from Advance Auto in the back of one of my locking dash compartments.
