I've tried switching all wires around, it just changes what direction the F/R switch does.

It's only stronger in reverse. It shudders on take off but will get there. Whereas reverse is instant torque when you step on the pedal. I can get up to 20mph in forward on the flat but as soon as you throw a hill at it, it drops speed quickly. Also, if I'm cruising at 15-20 with the pedal floored, and then go up an incline also with the pedal floored, it starts shuddering and I have to back off the pedal about a third to smooth it out. (if that makes sense)

Sorry misread your question, it's stronger and fast in reverse. Kind of scary fast. Just need to swap this around and I'll be happy as pig in pooh.

Here is a video of just starting an incline. The rattling is three lawn chairs bungeed to the back and not coming from the cart itself. And then the wife backs off the throttle a smidge and you can see the shuddering smooth out.

I would look at you forward and reverse switch. After driving it for a little while, check the lugs for heat. A loose lug could cause enough resistance to be slow, but it will also get very hot.

Same problem before and after replacing the F/R switch.

I don't know what else it could be. I see you already have the orange half speed wire unplugged. Everything else should be the same in forward as in reverse. You are basically just changing the current flow.

My bro and I were talking and were thinking about weight. When I got it, it had 4, 12v bats. It went up the hill well, but they were light weight. Now I have 8, 6v at almost 500 pounds. Maybe we thought it ran well, but it had basically 2-3 less people worth of weight so maybe it had this problem before all the new stuff. Gonna grab a new controller and I'm lookin for advice on which brand/model for this bucket o' bolts.

Thank you
