Default Can you identify this roof mount?

Have a question for all you Cart gurus out there....I bought this ezgo cart used and have since rebuilt it and modded it. Now I woulfd like to put a foldable windshield on it. After ordering one for this Marathon I found that the front roof mount on this cart is not Original....and the thing didn't fit.

Can anyone in this forum tell me what kind of cart and build year this front roof mount comes from? Would rather just buy a windshield that fits this mount then replace it.

Thanks.

Add another close up pic.

Can you modify the clips? I have a non folding windshield that came with the cart I bought used, and it had plastic clips that were made for thicker uprights. I simply cut plastic strips to wrap around the uprights, and now it clips into place securely, and is invisible.

Thanks Yurtle....glass is basically too wide. I could make it work, by screwing it straight into the mounts....but would have to rig something ugly to keep the folded half attached on top when I need it.

Return it and give dimensions for the next one. Height, width, and thickness of uprights. It's likely a standard, once they have the dims.

Yeah, that's almost surely from a Clubcar DS. And it looks like a nice fit on a marathon actually... Did you consider getting the windshield that will fit? (Like one for a Clubcar). Also these latches are very common on golf cart windshields, might work for the one you have now. The rubber expands when you toggle the lever, locking into holes drilled in the roof uprights.

That's my plan I think. Will just measure it out to be sure. Would love to return the one I bought originally...but my son removed the plastic coating so its ineligible.

Anyone need never used EZGO Marathon windshield?

Give me the dimensions. I have a TXT, but it may work. Mine got chipped when I rolled it. PM me the dimensions. Be specific as to center to center dimensions of the uprights.

A photo would be good. In fact, a make and model number would be good, too.
