Re: Lithium Battery Pack
Looking good folks and great info! Lots of advantages in this upgrade.
Been pondering the "I need new batteries" feeling and this may be the ticket. I could get maybe another 6 month's on my old Interstates and then the crossroad. Shell out the $900 for new ones or go Lithium. Probably would not have to buy batteries again for a looong time and could move them to another cart if necessary. Yep, double the cost but will yield 4000+ charge cycles, 65lbs! and 30 miles run time. Gonna be real hard to not consider this upgrade. No wonder they are out of stock at the moment. Probably can't keep them on the shelf and there is possibly a waiting list. Thanks for sharing. |

Re: Lithium Battery Pack
I just looked at the pics, and they show an IP address, so it's it looks like it uses a web server. Does it need an app, that might not be compatible with my older Android OS? I have an older smart phone on charger but collecting dust. A 12 volt to USB adapter mounted inside the dash and a DIY fabricated flush-mount would look nice.

Re: Lithium Battery Pack
The BMS creates a WIFI hot spot. You connect to the hot spot and open up a browser to 192.168.1.1. Thats it. Its view only, so you are not able to make any configuration changes to the settings.

But that means ANY smart phone with a browser can view.

Re: Lithium Battery Pack
When you mentioned controller, I checked the specs on mine. Does anyone know if an AXE 4855 could go higher than 48 volts?
EDIT: A fully charged pack is just shy of 51 volts, so I know it can handle that at power up, with throttle too low to go. Unlike sepex's, a series controller never sees above pack voltage, as - in theory - the reed switch prevents it from seeing full charger voltage, though fresh off a charger, it's higher than 51. |

Re: Lithium Battery Pack
The two pics on EV's website shows a "portrait" orientation. I'm thinking my old smart phone would be too small to read in "landscape", unless the web server offers both orientations.

Re: Lithium Battery Pack
DOH! I went to that page, but just read the chart.
I would have called that info Specifications, not Features. |
