Questions on 04 G21a
Hello ran across this site and have a few questions on my 2004 g21a gas golf cart.
Ive had this cart for a year or so but finally decided to work on it as ive had a couple issues. First thing is starter generator. Its a GSB107-10. I ordered this kit - http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-BRUSH-HO...53.m2749.l2649 The problem is the bearing doesn't fit on for the smaller bearing side on the shaft. I do not have the old bearing to measure it and they are telling me without the old bearing to measure they cant send me the correct one. Anyone know the size? Going to try to post pics if it helps. Another question I had is what do I use for the rear axle? I wanted to change it. Thanks |

Re: Questions on 04 G21a
The bearing on the brush end of the armature should read "6202". Transaxle gear lube 90 weight or simular.

Re: Questions on 04 G21a
Just wanted to say thanks. Got the bearing and it fit. Back up and running.
I do have another question thought. I am having alot of noise from my muffler and removed it to take a look. It sounds like there is a lot of lose stuff in there as I can shake it and its loud (stuff rattling around in there). So I pretty sure I need a new one. Question is I see 2 types online one for 300 bucks - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-G16-G...-/280885344090 and the other for 150 bucks - http://www.2wheelpros.com/oem-parts/...1-00-part.html Anyone know why the diff and if the retro fit one is the same? Thanks. |

Re: Questions on 04 G21a
The first muffler is the original style muffler for your cart. The second one is the new style muffler Yamaha started using in 2015.

Re: Questions on 04 G21a
I guess the question is, will the second muffler fit and the cart run normal? It seems to say it would fit from what the site says. But id like to stick with what is right for the cart so I dont cause issues. Saving 150 bucks on a muffler is nice if it will work.

It should work. It's the replacement for the original part number...
