Can't adjust tie rod
Has anyone ever had a tie rod end that seems to be seized onto the actual rod?
For the life of me I cannot get it unstuck to re-align the cart. I know there are left and right threaded ones and thats not the issue. Can definitely tell thats where the alignment keeps slipping off because it is about 9 threads out more than the other side but cant get it to unfreeze.. Ideas to get it to release? Or bite the bullet and just order a new rod and end and chuck that one |

Re: Can't adjust tie rod
Clamp the rod in a vise and use a pipe wrench on the tie rod end.
Use some PB blaster or other rust busting fluid. May have to add a little heat. Work it back and fourth to get it moving and then more fluid. If no go then get a new rod and end. They are not that much. |
