Finally got a chance to re-check the cart and I'm getting .5-.8V less than pack voltage on the small terminal YELLOW wire and only .3V on the other small terminal BLUE wire when the solenoid engages and again the solenoid ONLY engages with the F&R switch and NOT with the pedal. Does this sound like multiple issues or could one thing be the culprit?? I'm starting to think it's a controller issue but I'm scared to put another one on here just to see it pop when I put power to it even though everything is wired correctly.

I had an EZGO Workhorse gasser with a dump bed and loved it. Got it for free, and spent around $200 and did a complete tear-down rebuild. Once I bypassed the governor, it screamed.

Gas is the way to go...too many issues with electric it seems and the more they try and get fancy (RXV ) the more potential for issues that lead to big money repairs, down time and just overall frustration!!!

I disagree. Excluding RXVs - 'cause I don't know about them, series and sepex carts are reliable and easy to troublehoot. I like how quiet they are. However, when you consider the cost of batteries vs. the cost of gas, they may favor one over the other.

Without doing research, I'd guess the total cost of ownership would be cheaper on a gasser. But hobbies never pass the total cost of ownership test.

Most people are used to working on small gas engines, such as old VWs and lawnmowers. Electricity comes natural to some, and is learned by others.

Just my opinion.

Some places simply don't allow gas carts anymore. Sometimes it's just a matter of "that thing is too noisy". I'm a gasser guy myself, but my reason is range per "tank of gas". That's where a electric just can't ever match up. If I were building for power (and range weren't an issue), electric is where it's at. Just like how a crazy expensive Tesla car can whoop up on lots of high horsepower gas stuff with no fuss. But it doesn't go far on a "tank of gas". I know there are several GSXR bike motor swaps (and similar crazy jobs) out there & they are really fast, but that cart couldn't ever be considered "usable for golfing" or anything even like a average neighborhood cruiser, like a fast electric cart can be used. There are a few very wild examples from both sides, but I'm looking at something still usable and accessable to the "more typical" speed junkie who has to have the best of both worlds.
