So, any motor you want to put in there, swap away! Just picked up a G2 myself for cheap. Deciding now if I want to swap in a 420 or put the original engine back in

I was looking at the 460 to swap in but I have a running Polaris 440 sitting out back I may swap into it

If you have a 4-cycle engine then any swap would me reverse because it's in the trans. If you have a 2-cycle engine then you need to swap the trans to keep reverse.

I have a 440 suzuki in my harley cart. With 40 + hp and a 6500 rpm red line its a whole lot of fun. Good swap just a little harder to quiet down. If you are using it where decibels are not an issue can't beat it for performance. There are pics of the swap in the sled section of big blocks.Of course the lay out of the G 2 is different but maybe some parts will help. The issue that might help is getting the snowmobiles clutch tamed down for cart use.

Need to swap front suspension from a 4x4 ATV or use the electric FWD motors
