Default G16-G22 Upgrade to the YRDA Clutch

Has anyone swapped from the roller style 16 clutch setup to the newer YDRA G2-G9 setup? Any luck? Seems like the newer setup is much cheaper then replacing the stock g16 set up.

My cart is lifted with 22's. Needs both a primary and secondary clutch.

Dine quite a few on our fleet of G22's and they've worked out fine.

Any issues with the swap? Or just bolt and go?

Give Plowmans a call. It's hard to beat his clutch setups.

I’ve already spoke with Don. Looking to go a different route as the performance package isn’t worth the upgrade for me as the speeds in the campground were in are a strict 10mph. Just looking for more torque to help climb hills and make up for the lift and backseat.

Then all you need is the secondary kit. The proper spring will give you all the torque you're looking for...

Personal opinion, but I prefer the G16-22 style

What's wrong with the primary?

Primary has a flat spot roller and a flat spot on the weight. The face is still smooth but has some wear when I looked at it with a straight edge. Buy the time I get the weights and rollers and new OEM primary isn’t much more.

I called for just the secondary kit and he will not sell me one. Said its the performance kit or nothing. Which is a shame. I have used many of his products before and have been very happy with them.

Just bolt on and go. Same belt still fits and works fine.

Did you just reuse the nut on the input shaft since the new one uses a bolt to hold the secondary on?
