Default Help with the fifth wire

Ok I got a 5 piece 2 guage wire set for my 2010 RXV. I know 3 are for battery to battery. 1 is from pack positive to solenoid.

Where does 5 go?

Thanks

I presume you have 4 12v batteries.

3 cables for the battery pack
1 cable main battery positive to solenoid
1 cable main battery negative to B- on controller

Now your one cable short you need a 10"-11" cable from solenoid to controller B+

What he said. Careful not to jump terminals with your wrench. I did that is and it was pretty impressive. It actually took a chunk out of my socket driver.

Ouch, that is not good.

Yes I have 4 X 12V.

I did see the other 6 gauge cable was on the solenoid going to the controler B+.

And had no idea I needed 6 wires. Darn ebay. I wasn't even going to replace these because the cart is stock. But while testing some things I notice varies mix and match gauge sizes among the battery cables. So at $29 I thought I was doing a good thing.

C sorry about the vagueness. I can tell you are a professional. You are best to ask and not assume anything.

With Sears having so much financial trouble I doubt we could take back the "lifetime" guarantee ratchet for replacement. I now use a mini stub one that is maybe 2". And there is one battery terminal that I don't torque out of fear.

I put cable 5 from battery pack negative to controller B-. I'm waiting to here back from the ebay seller. I asked if he could help so I could have the same quality, etc... for them all.

Note: those 2 gauge wires aren't as flexible as the 6 guage.

I purchased a new cable set this week as well and thought I was going to be in the same boat needing a 6th cable, but the solenoid is connected to the controller via a copper(?) flat bar. Is that connection sufficient, or should I switch that out for another 2ga cable like the rest?

The Curtis controller use the copper bus bar. It's suitable for reuse .
