Default Any suggestions for speedometer?

I'm thinking about getting NC tags for my golf cart and one of the requirements is a speedometer. Anyone have a speedometer installed on an RXV that they like?

I love the ex-ray speedometer for the rxv. Accurate, checks/monitors several features.

This place is pretty cool. You design your own gauge. This link is to a 40mph GPS speedometer, 2 1/16" diameter. Lots of choices; diameter, top speed, background color, number color, needle color, etc.

Here is an example of the one pingeye referenced in the link.

!2v power required and additional 12v connection for illumination. Has an antenna that looks like a small version of what you see on autos with sat radio. Cord is long enough to mount most anywhere with double sided tape.

Easy to follow and complete instructions. Works great. Is more stable than typical phone speed apps.

Only criticism I have is that it takes some time to boot up after power is applied. (15- 30 seconds) but you don't have to wait for it. It will come online eventually while your driving.

Pretty much everything is customize-able. Not water proof. Not an issue for me.

Kernal, are You also using the hot start feature for when the power has been off for less than 4 hours to quickly acquire the satellites in less than 2 sec?

I did not hook that up. I got it in my head that function was only active for 15 minutes so I ignored it. I might have hooked it up if the install was part of a ground up build, but I added it to an already built up cart and was tapping into the cart builder's wiring solution. Also the gages' function is mostly cosmetic for me. I hated that empty space on the RXV. I don't actually have to know my speed at any given time.

I agree. And it only does speed. You could also consider just a traditional gps. Some give directions, your speed, and the road's speed limit.

Reconditioned $70. Not sure new $
