Default 2009 RXV Axle thumb screw

While underneath looking for the rubber oil level plug on my transaxle..which I couldn't find...I noticed on top of the left axle a little thumb screw which was slack..what is that for...thanks

More info on the above..the 2008 Service Pack manual..

.. page J-1 ..shows the axle assembly..and shows this little screw knob on top of the axle tube..but does not indicate what it's for..

It's just a vent, not a screw. The air inside the axle increases in volume as the axle & air warms up. There has to be somewhere for that volume change to go, so vent is required.

That "thumb screw" thing had me mentally scrambling..... What "screw" could you be talking about? I searched your posted diagram, & my manuals, couldn't find this screw... It finally hit me, "on the axle tube"..... My brain.....
