Default G9 seat release?

Ok another rookie question until my manual gets here. Where is the seat release so I can flip it up and get numbers to figure out what year I’ve got here?

It's behind the passenger seat next to the gas cap, towards the center of the cart.

Also,

If your cart doesn't have a lid over the gas cap, I'd recommend getting one. Otherwise you're quite likely to end up with water in the gas tank. The roof drains basically right on top of it, and the gas cap lid is vented so it can let water in. You can get them online for about $10 from golf cart king or other places. The screws that hold them into the clips are almost always rusted solid, so I just break them off and hold the lid on with zip ties. Holds just as good as the screws and gives the lid a little extra "flex" so they don't break as easily/quickly.

Thanks it has the lid. I got fortunate with this new endeavor the previous owner took really good care. The only adjustment I am interested in is getting rid of mini truck bed and putting seats for the grandkids in it’s place

Modz is one of the only companies making a G9 seat kit, but fortunately it is a very nice one. I installed one last year- here’s what it looks like:

No lift kit is difficult to install on those, unless you have only a adjustable crescent wrench, plus rocks & "2x4* boards for jacks. Now, getting the alignment adjusted just perfect is a different story....

Mine came lifted from previous owner. I was curious about rear seat installation to replace homemade bed currently on my G9 .

No, the rear seat is not too difficult to install. Maybe a little harder than a newer model because you have to make a couple holes behind the seat back rests and level it, but very doable.
