2009 RXV issue
I just put new batteries in my cart Two days ago. When I took the cart out today I could smell a electric burning smell. I stopped to check wires and they were good. I drove the cart home (not far) and now I can not get the cart to go. When I turn the key to forward the cart bucks and then the reverse alarm beeps on and off. The same thing happens when I put the cart in reverse. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: 2009 RXV issue
You probably need a new brake. Buy only an OEM brake and not a heavy duty one.

Re: 2009 RXV issue
Yep, the beeping is a dead giveaway. Time for a new brake.
Heres a little more info on what you want & don't want. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...xv-brakes.html Also, search this site for the proper installation procedure, or you'll be doing it again very soon. |

Re: 2009 RXV issue
Thanks how hard are they to install yourself or should I bring it to a mechanic?

Re: 2009 RXV issue
Thanks for the info. I looked at Jason’s Gold cart website and found the 610065. Is this all I need or is there anything else I need? I appreciate all of your help!

Re: 2009 RXV issue
Ok the part is ordered. I was able to put my cart on the trailer by putting the cart in tow and neutral. I know in a few post it says to take apart the magnetic brake in order to push it. Is this normal with this issue or something else? Just wondering?? Thanks for your help!
