Ezgo RXV charger error code

48 volt cart & charger, cart has 4-12 volt batteries. Voltage at the charge port reads 48.3 volts. When I plug the charger into the cart the indicator light turns green. Once I plug the charger into the outlet, it begins flashing 2 red flashes, indicating a battery voltage error. I get the exact same response from two identical chargers. Any thoughts? Are the batteries too low?

48.3 is definitely high enough to allow charging.

That charger is garbage. Get rid of it and get a decent DPI or Eagle Performance series.

You should never have attempted to plug the charger into the car without having it plugged into AC first. That will EOL the fuse on the DC output side and there's no diodes to protect it from backfeeding from the voltage on the cart end. You likely EOL'ed the charger doing that.

A PowerWise QE has an expected lifetime of around 1-3 years maximum.

I have a bunch of powerwise QE chargers. All with same code. I have not used that style charger in years. I personally love the old powerwise transformer chargers for 36 volt ezgo; Board is easy fix. Also have had very good luck with delta-q QuiQ chargers and the lester summit II chargers on 48 volt.

As it turns out, the charger is fine, a battery connection between the batteries was corroded/loose. Cleaned and tightened them all, and its now charging fine. Didn't EOL my chargers after all.
