Default 1999 EZ-GO won’t move

I have a 1999 EZ-GO that has always worked just fine. It’s been sitting for a few months collecting dust. Yesterday I drove it around for a while but then today it won’t move. The cables are moving when I turn the forward/reverse selector and clutch turns and engages, but the rear axle never engages. What could it be...

One brake drum / hub has lost its splines is the most likely answer. Get someone to try to drive it, then look at the hub centre nuts to see if one is spinning. If so you need a new drum.

Does the rear clutch engage and spin the belt? Or just the front?

I am guessing the neutral lockout switch is engaged

The rear clutch does engage and spins the belt.

I take it back...sorry, was driving when I responded and didn't read in detail. If your cables are moving, it should be turning the input shaft. The lockout switch would prevent the cables from moving, if I remember correctly. Check the connector bracket where the cables attach to the transaxle, make sure it has good connection on the input shaft and is turning it. If it is turning it, then it is likely a hub as was already discussed.
