1983 Marathon replacement muffler
Has anyone successfully implemented an aftermarket muffler for the 83 Marathon? I have read several older posts but looking to get a specific muffler model number and I can alter it by welding or whatever. TIA

Yeah that sucks that the 83 mufflers are no longer available, but it's still the same 2pg engine so I would think modifying an 87 or earlier muffler to fit would be fine

That is what baffles me. I would think the same thing but if you look at the info the answers are not that the other years mufflers are possible with modification but that I am screwed. I tinker with this stuff very little and was hoping someone else did a mod and would have responded.
