Engine diff
A customer installed a Robin Engine in a cart that has MCI ignition system in it will the cart run he couldnt get it to rev up looks like its not firing right Thanks

More detail please. Does the engine have a cast iron separate manifold or alloy as part of the head. If cast Iron, we may have a simple solution that sort of works.
This thread goes into overdrive looking for a solution to obsolete OEM components instead of the dreaded Cheap amazon/ebay parts. Its a long winded topic, but you may find your answer there. It is still an ongoing project but The basics are all there. It may be worth trying to replace all the ignition components with pre MCI parts from Amazon If that is the engine you have but no guarantees it will work. The reason for your issue, is the crossover from pre to MCI a few things were changed on the engine such as flywheel timing, Pulser, igniter and coil. These parts are not really crossover compatible. |
