Unhappy Need help with txt upgrade

I HAVE A 98 MODEL EZGO TXT SERIES WITH NEW T105's BATTERIES, 400 AMP SOLENOID, 2 GA CABLES, UPGRADED FnR SWITCH, AND I JUST FRIED THE CONTROLER HOOKING UP 2 GA. CABLES TO STOCK CONTROLER. HAD BATTERY UNHOOKED AND DIDNT SEE THAT ONE OF THE CABLES HAD MOVED AND WAS TOUCHING THE POST. WHEN I PUT AN OPEN END WRENCH TO REMOVE THE STOCK CABLE FROM THE CONTROLER I SAW IT ARC FROM ONE POST ON THE CONTROLER TO ANOTHER. PUT IT ALL BACK TOGETHER AND IT DOES NOT MOVE FORWARD OR BACKWARDS. MY QUESTION IS, CAN I RUN A 400 OR 500 AMP CONTROLER WITH THE STOCK FLEET SPEED MOTOR FOR ABOUT 30 DAYS SO I CAN SAVE ENOUGH TO BUY A NEW MOTOR ALSO. I ALSO NEED TO FIND OUT HOW TO TELL IF MY GAS PEDAL IS 0-5K OR 5K-0.
I USE THIS CART TO PLAY GOLF. STOCK TIRES AND NO LIFT. JUST TIRED OF BEING THE LAST ONE DOWN THE FAIRWAY. ANY HELP AT ALL WOULD BE GREATLY APPR.
tHIS IS THE BEST SITE FOR GOLF CARTS.

Well lets back off the caps, seems like your yellin, we need to check some things out first to see if you really fried your controller or not, tell us what you have purchased for upgrades and lets see if we can guide you through it. Do you have a multi meter?

Yes, if your controller is fried you can run I believe up to a 500 amp controller with a stock motor. Check Alltrax website to verify this.

for the type of driving you are describing, you don't NEED a 500 AMP controller. 400 will be more than fine and you can save the money on buying the motor and invest it in doing a 48 volt upgrade instead.

Also, on a 98 TXT, the correct input is called an "ITS throttle" not the 0-5k or 5k-0.

Contact Scottyb on these forums and I am sure he can hook you up for a great price.
