Re: 1989 DS Club Car
The Lestronic 7850 is an automatic charger. On the face it has an amp meter and a fuse, no timer. If yours has a timer someone must have "fixed" it in the past. The 1989 cc ds repair manual has a chapter in it if you find yourself one.
The difference in solenoids (1 vs 5) is that some older models had not only a main solenoid but also one for each resistor. Less possible repairs on the single solenoid model. |

Re: 1989 DS Club Car

Re: 1989 DS Club Car
Another question I have. Would it hurt to make a set of battery cabless out of 1000 strand welding cable? If I wanted to make the cart faster what all would I have to change?
Thanks for all the help so far.....I keep thinking of new Ideas for the cart |

Re: 1989 DS Club Car
Seems the hook is set
My Lestronic 2 36v charger has no timer and says fully automatic. If your going to stay 36v I will have no need for mine next week, as Im going to 48V soon, was set last week but had to wait on batts.Upgrading the wires and good maintanence the 36v runs strong and Ive carried 5 adults up some hard hills... If my guess is correct, you will have no need for my charger, unless ya just need one thats auto before the conversion |

Re: 1989 DS Club Car
do you have a row of resistor coils behind batteries? if so you need to upgrade to a controller cart or if you have a controller in it now you might want to consider upgrading it along with cables and a PQ motor a few other things.....talk with scotty he sells it all ..................................
