Volts/Amps display
So I bought this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/170810244605...84.m1497.l2649 ..hope that worked.. at less than 70 mA draw, is there any reason to have the display on a switched circuit, or just let it glow all the time? I also ordered a DC-DC isolator straight from the sweatshops od Shenzen for this bad boy, apparently there's a grounding issue when you source power from the power you're trying to meter/guage/whatever.... Thoughts? Anybody else have one? Greg |

Re: Volts/Amps display
I'll post pictures of it when it gets to the house... Offtwice, I joined this forum about a year ago, and your cart is the reason I bought a club car. Your build as well as a few others are an example of what can be done when form and function are both attended to with an unwavering attention to detail. PS what size and offset are your wheels? They're lovely, and fill the wheelwells nicely. |

it can, you just need a DC-DC isolated power supply. That may be more for the ammeter than the voltemeter... I bought one for $5... let me look... http://www.suntekstore.com/search.ph...M3MzA0ODQ5O30= In the comments, it says it's for the ammeter.. |

Plus, they're .25 cheaper if you buy 50 or more!

Re: Volts/Amps display
Look at this wiring config. As it sits, this will display voltage and amperage from the controller output to the motor.... Is it beneficial to know voltage output post-controller? Should I get another meter to display static pack voltage? How would I re-wire this to show amp draw, and pack voltage pre-controller? Put the shunt in before the controller maybe? You know, perhas I should have bought two, pre- and post- controller.... I had enough hobbies before this, what have I done!! Greg |
