Default '93 36V cart shudders

Hey Guys,

My '93 36V CC is giving me a bit of trouble. It has basically been a trouble free cart for years. When I step on the accelerator pedal the cart either has very low power/torque or shudders. The batteries all have 6 plus volts except one which has 4-5 volts. Batteries are 3 ys old. Water level was low so I'm thinking I lost it but wanted opinions anyway. When all the batteries are connected I have about 37-38 volts. When the charger is on they are at approx 44 volts. The charger shuts off fairly quickly in an hour or two and only indicates about 10amps when initially plugged in. I am currently charging the one "low" battery on a 6 volt charger. It is in the #2 position out of six. Will it do me any good to move it somewhere else in the battery order? This condition came on quickly. Should I be checking anything else? Potentiometer? Controller? Thanks in advance!

The low battery is probably dropping out to 2v or less under load.... connect the meter to the pack mains and try to go. What is the low reading when the cart shudders? I think you will find your answer.
