Re: switching from 6-8volt to 4-12 volt
whats the benefit of keeping the eight volts? longer run time? is it less weight with 4 12v? or do you have less amps due to cell size?

Re: switching from 6-8volt to 4-12 volt
For the record an 8v battery has a bigger amperage capacity than a 12v and a 6v has a bigger amp capacity than an 8v... more amperage = longer run time..... also the 6v last the longest, the 8v a little less, and the 12v about a year less than the 8v.... I hope this helps.

Re: switching from 6-8volt to 4-12 volt
Not sure why one would want to go back to 12v. Not that 12v are bad if that's whats currently in the cart and if a conversion is needed to switch to 8v and the budget doesn't allow it then there is nothing wrong with 12v's as well.

Re: switching from 6-8volt to 4-12 volt
Actually 6 - 8 volt batteries cost less than 4 - 12 volt batteries. I couldn't believe that myself unitl I bought 4 12 volt batteries for one of my carts a coupe of years ago.
