surging
i have an 89 marathon. i use this cart at the drag strip. can anyone tell me why at 3/4 to full throttle the cart surges. its like its losing power. the plug is brand new. could it be the micro switch? thanks in advance.

Check your governor.....Sounds a little tight. Maybe loosen it up 4-5 turns.

I had an atv that was doing this andit turned out to be a worn spot on the belt

thanks guys. i havent tried anything yet but its prob the governor. i tightened it up some over the winter. ill try that first

Sounds like the govenor, trying to do its' job.Either re-adjust or remove it.
