Default EZGO project coming along

I have been working on restoring this 1985 or so EZGO golf cart. It is coming along but I have someone with a 1994 electric that is shot and was wondering if the body of the 94 would fit on this Marathon? Any help would be great.

The pics are before and after. It wasnt running when I got it and now if hums, well as much as a 2 stroke can hum. Still need to work on steering box but thats to come.

Thanks

The cart pictured has a 88'-94' cowl. Are you sure its' an 85'?When you say you want a 94' body,do you mean a Marathon-body,or a Medalist body? The carts had a redesign in 94.5' and were called Medalist. The body is very similar to the later(95.5 and up)TXT.The Medalist is a steel-body,TXTs' are Plastic. If your cart is an 85',the motor will be sideways in the cart, with the belt running from left to right. If its' 88'-94', the belt will run front to rear.Hope this helps.

I just blew the pics up,its' an 87' or older,with a 88'-94' cowl.

I've been guessing on the year but the belts do run sideways. The body of the 94 is rounded and is not metal whereas mine is all metal. I had to fiberglass the floor due to rust holes. Thanks for your info, this cart didn't come with SN so I've been going by the threads here to figure it's around an 85.

See if these pics help, your probably right it could be around 87. Do you think it's a Marathon or medalist? What is a TXT?

A Medalist is a steel-body 1994.5 or 1995.It is rounded, with a plastic cap on the front cowl. The TXT came out in 1995.5 and ran into 2005?The body is all plastic and rounded, similar to the Medalist, but a little more curvy.Yours has the 87' and older Marathon drivetrain, but the front-cowl is 88'-94' Marathon.Either someone swapped the front cowl on your cart to a newer one,or they swapped the earlier drivetrain into an 88'-94 cart.Either way, they are very similar from the late 70's thru 94'.You can upgrade the body to the Medalist or TXT,Mine is an 85' with a TXT-Body,it takes some fabrication in the seat-frame to do it though.Nice looking cart.

Thanks for the info, hopefully it will be done soon. Would like to make it street legal at some point.
