Cart won't Go!
I just bought my grandkids a 98 Club Car (48 volt) The guy (seller) told me that sometime it would hesitate (??) especially at higher speeds, Now sometimes it will go forward, sometimes it will go in reverse, and most of the time it will not go at all. I realize this is a very broad subject but if anyone could off any suggestions I would be thankful.
I do pretty good with the mechanics, but the electrical part leaves me some what at a lost sometimes. The gentleman has offered to take the cart back but I really like the cart and of course the kids do also. I believe the man sold the cart in good faith therefore I would rather fix it than make him take it back. |

Yes the batteries have a good charge and have been checked to make sure they are all good.

Re: Cart won't Go!
If its a vglide it could be as simple as cleaning the contacts.
Does the solenoid click when you push the pedal and the cart won't go? |

Re: Cart won't Go!
I took the forward/reverse controller off. I disassembled it, cleaned and polished all the contacts, reassembled it, and put it back in the cart. It does work much better but sometime it seems as though you have to push it further than the normal position to make it go. I'm sure it was put back together right. Is a new switch needed or do I need to do something else first.
Thanx for all the help. One more question, What are all the little wires for, that plugs on the spades on the micro switches? They are on the larger forward/reverse switch. And are they necessary for a yard cart? |
