Re: Club Cart Alltrax - Help
No you do not... Explain what you mean by your tried?
If you tried to hook up your laptop to the controller with out the controller being powered nothing will happen. The controller has to have power enable to talk to it. You can do this while it's in the cart. First, have you been successful in talking to the controller with computer before now? |

Re: Club Cart Alltrax - Help
Can I just swap any wires in the cart, in order to send the correct signal, since I really dont want to go through the hassle of taking the controller out again, it is a real pain in the @**.

Re: Club Cart Alltrax - Help
I hooked the laptop to the controller while it is in the cart. All wires connected, I turned the cart on, and the USB cable from controller to laptop, and I get a messege from the Software Pro 38 that is unable to find the motor controller. and Cart is on, computer is on, and the cable is connected both ways.

Re: Club Cart Alltrax - Help
When you tried this does the controller have a green light on it? If not then the controller is not on, and again as I mentioned before with the AXE in order to power up the controller you have to have the accelorator pedal depressed or you will get the error you are getting.
Do this... Disconnect the negative side of the battery pack. Disconnect the cable from controller lug marked M-. Tape the end of the cable so you don't short anything. Hook up the negative side of the battery pack. This way the motor will not run while you do this. Have the controller and laptop connected together but the software not running. Press the pedal just enough to hear the solenoid click and power up the controller, keep the pedal in this position then start the controller pro software, go to the throttle tab and see how you are set at. Change the throttle to the correct one, most likely the opposite of what you have, I am guessing Club Car 5k-0 is what you should be set at. Save this, making sure the controller is powered the entire time. When saved, you can back off the throttle, allowing the controller to shut down. Turn key off, disconnect the negative battery cable again, hook up the m- wire to the motor again. reconnect the negative cable and test. |

Re: Club Cart Alltrax - Help
One thing, after you disconnect the negative side of the pack, press the gas pedal for a minute to bleed any charge off the controllers capacitors before disconnecting the M-. Then you are good. Sorry forgot to mention that.

Re: Club Cart Alltrax - Help
Everything worked perfect, I changed 0-5k to 5k-0 and it works, however, Should the response be linear or S-Curve?
Oh, BTW, no reverse... why? |

Re: Club Cart Alltrax - Help
Did you have reverse before doing any of this?
Did you change from 5k-0 or Club Car 5k-0? Make sure it's on Club Car 5k-0. The S-Curve or linear curve is your preference, once you get it running you can change to different curves to suit your taste in the way it responds to throttle. |

Re: Club Cart Alltrax - Help
well, didnt see the clubcar 5k-o, changed it to 5k-0 but will change it to the club car. I did had reverse brefore the change.
For performance wise, which one is better, Linear or S-Curve? Thank you for taking care. |
