Default Advice needed for stripped Club Car

I have recently aquired a 1999 Club Car for next to nothing, but it is missing wheels and batteries. I am also pretty sure it is missing some wiring, two of the terminals on the motor itself don't even have anything hooked up to them.

I am asking for advice on how I should go about running through this thing and making sure it has all the necessary wires running to all the right places. I would like to eventually lift it and maybe put in a high torque motor so my dad and I can use it to haul multiple 50 lb feed sacks.

Or is a project like this going to cost me more than its worth? I'm on a pretty tight budget.

Thanks for any advice

your biggest cost will be batteries by far and the only real way to know if its worth it is to get batteries in it and wired up........is it a 48 volt or 36 volt? can you post a few pics.............as for wiring check here in the stickies there should be a wiring diagram for it.....................welcome and good luck..........................

Hopefully you got the charger with it ~ If the plug is round it is 48v cart if it is not its 36v. The serial # is under the pass side glove box by your feet. What is it? That & the charger plug will tell what you got?

Okay here are some pictures of the cart. Everything appears to be in decent shape, considering. No melted wires or anything.

I don't know anything about golf carts so also any advice on how to go about working on it would be appreciated. Like should I just put it up on jack stands or remove the body entirely?

Serial number is A9904-741573, if any one can help me identify it?

Thanks

well its a 48 volt C.C. if you look at the dash lower part in center theres a tag with a letter and #,s the 1st two #,s are your year but it has to be a 95 i,ll bet........................nice cart to start with so you need either a set of 8 volt batteries six of them or four 12 volt ones if you can put in to see where your at............do you have the charger? and if you keep it what are the plans?..................................

Its a 1999 DS Series Powerdrive System 48v. The fwd/rev switch looks like it could do with a replacement. There are 2 6 gauge wires missing from the switch White that goes to A2 on motor and Orange that goes to S1 terminal on motor. On the controller the terminal without a wire is B+ that has a 6 gauge Yellow wire to the large post of the solenoid and a 6 gauge Green to A1 post of the motor. Always easier to work on them without the body. Good luck

From what I can see the serial # A9904-741573 tell me it is a 1999 ds. The A99 in the serial # was the give away.
