Precedent Lift Kit Advice Needed
I have a Precedent that I would like to put a 3" or 4" lift kit on (prefer 3"--short wife). It has the 10" aluminum Club Car brand wheels. Can I use these wheels with new tires with one of these lift kits?

Should be able to. Just look for some 20" or smaller tires that fit that size rim. How short is your wife? Mine is 5 foot nothing and maybe not quite that tall. And she does fine on ours with 6" lift.

Re: Precedent Lift Kit Advice Needed
She is 5'2". She doesn't like getting in and out of the neighbor's cart with the 6" lift. One 3" lift kit description said that it would work with "20x10x10 tire with 3x5 offset wheel". That offset bit has me be a bit crossthreaded.
Thanks! |

20" is about as big as you can go with a 3" lift. I don't know about the offset on the stock wheels. I don't even remember my stock wheels even being 10", I thought they were smaller than that.

Re: Precedent Lift Kit Advice Needed
Thanks. Mine are 10" (high, not wide) aluminum rims that, I believe, come on some of the newer Precedent carts. How they ended up on my old Precedent behooves me. I'm guessing that a dealer jacked up a brand new Precedent, put larger wheels and tires on it, and the discarded Precedent rims found their way to the cart I bought used.
The tires that are on it now are 205/50-10. I'm not sure of the rim width and have had no luck finding any specs for the Club Car aluminum rims on the internet. I guess I'll measure the width when I get home today. |
