Charger keeps blowing the recitifier
Any ideas what would cause this? 2001 Club Car 48V. Just trying to get an idea of where to start!

There are stickies in the beginning of this forums that have downloads. Locate the manual for your particular battery charger and then look under troubleshooting, for "diodes keep burning up". There are a couple of things that can cause this to happen.

you say it keeps blowing the recitifier...meaning diode bridge ???
(black 1 1/4" square with 4 terminals ) sometimes they go bad ...now if you bought a replacment at radio shack..the amperage rating of the ones they sell are not high enough and it will blow again and again .... |
