Re: Club Car just quit - batteries dead & won't charge
I'd hook it back up each day after riding it. That is the best for these type batteries. With the OBC your cart has, it will only put back the energy required to fulfill the peak charge. If you are going to be gone for a few weeks, you can leave it hooked up as it will regulate on its own. If you are only gone for a couple of weeks, I do not think you need the pause as I think that was more meant for long periods such as seasonal events or vacation periods. It will definitely not hurt as if they are at or near full charge, the system is only going to be on for a couple of minutes as the amperage is going to drop right back off.

Re: Club Car just quit - batteries dead & won't charge
Thanks on the charging advice. As for the cables, I will move to the heavy duty ones as soon as I can. Cheaper than a couple of batteries. As for the Oreilly Auto Parts cables, I was in my local store last week and their 4 ga cables had connectors where the edges were just folded over on the cable strands. Did not look good. The ones I bought last weekend had aluminum lugs that totally encased the cable end. I think they are better than the factory ones, but I still like the ones on the suggested cartsunlimited site. Thanks for that heads up.
