Trouble shooting a solenoid cart
Im working on a 1985 solenoid cart. I have 40.3 volts and it will go in reverse but when I try to go forward it goes very slow. I jacked the back up and tried it in forward and all the solenoids are working but it seems like its low on power any advice on what the problem could be thanks. can a motor go bad in forward only ?

Re: Trouble shooting a solenoid cart
it only needs 1/2 speed for reverse so start by making sure your batteries and cables are all good.............check voltage and also load test them.............when your certain batteries are not a issue than jack the rear up and slowly press pedal and watch wheels at 2nd solenoid click wheels should start slowly turning and get faster with each click after ..........if you hear a solenoid click and speed dosn,t increase than theres your problem......even a clicking solenoid can be bad and it only takes 1 battery failing to cause the same symptons..........when you put the charger on you have to leave it on till it shuts off which could be 12 plus hours.....................
